I'm sure you will recognize this family, as they have appeared on my blog several times, most recently here for Lulu's two-year session. Well they have a new addition to their family: Sweet, beautiful Leah Josephine! She is really amazing, incredibly alert and very, very smiley! Lucia is a wonderful big sister and loves Leah very much.

We're home! Our trip out to Elko, NV turned out great. We had a great time at the wedding, and of course it was wonderful being surrounded by family and friends!
Mandi asked me to photograph her and all the girls getting ready for the wedding, which was held at the Spanish Ranch in rural Northeast Nevada. It was fun to be a part of this special time for Mandi, and to capture memories that she and Boyd will be able to look back on forever. Their day was perfect, the wedding was beautiful and the reception was a rockin' party!

The last time I saw Miles he was just a few months old, and now he is a walking, talking, tumbling toddler! Just watching him walk was fun because this little guy does not slow down for anything! He has no fear - he just goes for it. He took quite a few spills during our session but it did not deter him from anything, he just hopped right back up and kept on going - I love it!
I picked a few of my favorites from our session - the last one is a group of four that I put together because it really shows what it is like to be a one-year old!

Do you remember Boyd and Mandi? Well, it is finally time for their big day! They are getting married next Saturday on a ranch in northern Nevada. We are very excited and happy for them, and are really looking forward to watching them get married! We are driving out there... with our 2-year-old... yes, I have packed a load of DVDs, but I'm not sure all the movies in the world will provide enough entertainment to last on a 24+ hours in the car. We made a similar trip early last spring, and it was a LONG drive. I keep telling myself that she is a year older now, and easier to entertain with books, singing, coloring, etc. But still 24 hours is a long time! Wish us luck!
We will be out of town June 10th-22nd. I will be checking email and phone messages while I am gone, but may not be able to respond right away.
Della is the flower girl, and I am photographing Mandi and all the girls as they get ready for the day, so stay tuned for pictures when I return!

Little Finlely has the clearest, brightest eyes I believe I have ever seen. I couldn't take my own eyes off of them during our session - they are breathtaking! I also loved her pretty green dress and her sweet little toothy smile!
Most of our session was inside because it was quite windy outside, but luckily this family just moved into a great house that has beautiful hardwood floors and awesome colors on the walls, so staying inside worked out great! We did brave the wind and sneak outside for a few shots of Finley and her first experience in the grass - she was interested in tasting it, but didn't so much like being up close and personal with it. :)
